........................Calendar of Activities
We are ready to involve you in many different types of events, ranging from a pleasant stroll in a charming village during a festival, to real working experiences where you can learn how to make a great Montepulciano redwine or spicy Pretuziano extravirgin olive oil. Always remember that this Calendar is forcedly flexible, because most of the events are held outdoor - for example, the wine grape harvest may easily be delayed a week by an unexpected rain.

........................May
During the Workers Day in Teramo you have to try the famous "Virtù", a very special dish made with a combination of 40 particular ingredients, like roots.

........................July - August
the Sagre ....Trough the summer an endless stream of special town events, called Sagre, are held in Abruzzo to honour a tradition or just a special dish - let us show you the best and most authentical ones!

Not Just Pomodori ..In august tomatoes, peppers and seasonal vegetables are picked and processed in different ways, roasted, reduced to pulp, etc. Want to help?

........................Late September - Late October
Wine grapes harvest
. ...It's an extraordinary event where everyone takes part, harvesting, pressing the grapes, or just tasting! Personalized wine bottles are available, and we may pay a visit to the wine festival in Bisenti, the first Sunday of October.

Olives picking time .... It's a tough job, but we do everything with our hands and without machineries, so there will be plenty of time for talking, relaxing, and learning how to pick and make a real high quality extra virgin olive oil - and you'll understand why it's so pricy! Join us and secure some bottles of precious organic "green gold"!

Marmalades .... Regional autumn fruits are selected and processed to obtain the most genuine marmalades, or the special ones like the marmellata condita.

.........................November
It's time to go walk in the mountain forests to collect sweet chestnust and marrons, and prepare them in many different ways, accompanied by a glass of young Vino Novello!

.........................December
Il Porcello .... This is when the culling of the pig starts. All parts of the pig are used to make salami, prosciutto, sausages, bacon, and you will be shown also how to make special Abruzzo salamis like the lonza. All these products are additive free.

Caggiunìtt and other cakes....We will taste and witness the making of sweets and cakes of this region in preparation for the festive season !
